My name is Stacey Bessard and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. As a first generation Haitian American, I’ve realized that I am always evolving and as I evolve into a complex person, I will continue to redefine who I am. Above all I am a child of God and my creativity as a woman comes from him. I am a poet, an abstract painter. I am of high value woman, nowhere near a bargain. I am a woman who loves to dance and laugh. I am a person who loves to be around family and close friends. It is there I find solace. But, most of all I am a person who loves with all my heart because that’s how I believe everyone should be loved. I seek to uplift and inspire and most of all I seek to allow people to be completely the beautiful creation that they were destined to be.

I can go on and on to list all of my endeavors, but all that really matters in the counseling room is the person behind the many accomplishments. This is what I seek to do at my boutique private practice Color Me Therapy. I strive to be real everyday, exchanging performance for authenticity. I empathize with a woman who wants to find love and be loved. As a therapist, I see through the trauma to the matters of the heart. I push past the burdens of appearance and people pleasing to live a life that is free. As a therapist, knowing that failure will always be an option, I guide people to walk forward in boldness with their eyes wide open. Scripture tells us 1 Corinthians 2:9, “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him”. It is there I have learned vulnerability is the birthplace of untapped, unchartered, unseen experiences not yet ventured.

Honestly, this is who I am. My title and accomplishments are merely the mode in which I operate the essence of my being. Simply put, I am a therapist who seeks to be authentic in and out of the therapy room.
